Our Work

The SBHAA provides organizational support to School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs) in the state. We function as a center for initiating funding opportunities for new SBHCs, as a provider of ongoing support for established SBHCs, and as an advocate for school-based health on state and federal levels. The SBHAA provides support to SBHCs by identifying and disseminating information for state and federal grant opportunities. We work with private donors, public sponsors, and corporate sponsors promoting school-based health. The SBHAA promotes SBHCs as a vital resource in health care reform by improving access to health care in medically underserved communities in Arkansas.
